rainy Saturday

It is a rainy Saturday here!  I love the is image though it makes me think I should be cleaning instead of lounging!  Tomorrow is the flea market so I am keeping my fingers crossed that the rain is gone by then. 

Next week we are making some big changes on the site, just a little reworking of our product line to get back to the true part of ourselves.  Stop by the shop to see what is on sale too!

I found these amazing photos and it hit me...  I need to work on my photography skills well I want to work on them.  How beautiful are these?  I love them... now just to have the back drop would be amazing too!

There is nothing I like more than a trip to a great pumpkin patch for Halloween.  I layer my porch with different sizes and shapes with many staying on until Thanksgiving..

This wall is so amazing!!  I wish I had the guts to try this in my house.  I love the texture the natural state of the wood brings with the clean lines of the beds.

Hello October..

 

Hello October my old friend. I have missed you so for the last year.  This is one of my favorite times of year, with the days cooling off and giving us our little touch of fall here in California.  What is your favorite time of the year?  

I am so ready for the pumpkins and the hot tea in the morning, warm home made breads and cool evenings.

Ahh Friday again..  Simplicity with just a touch of industrial bliss!  I adore Tolix and the metal boxes made into a console piece are pretty fantastic too.  I am pretty sure I could never have white floors but they are beautiful!

Sea shore...

 

Nature always amazes me.  It also amazes me how you can do this.  My kids and I made these on our trip out to the tide pools in Dana Point last time we were there. Such a fun balancing act!

This seems like the perfect place setting for a holiday buffet withe the single sprig of rosemary for a fresh sent and a well ironed linen napkin.

It seems like the holidays are going to be upon us so quickly.  Are you getting ready?  I am starting to mentally prepare but that is it so far.  There are parties to attend and to plan and just so many things to do.

DYI Lighting...

 

So I freely admit that I am only a DYI person when I have extra time (which is next to never).  But I really love this piece and it is something I think I could actually handle.  

Those are the hanging glass bubbles that we sell tied and made into a totally cool light!

I may have to try this out...

I am totally falling for this sweet little paper bowl with gold leaf from up in the air somewhere.  It is perfect for holding rings, or a little collection of things.
