Vintage fun: Flea Market decorating?

At first I was thinking about how you can find just about everything at the flea market. It is always amazing to me that someone (well some of the someone's) can make the most fun and interesting displays out of things that are really someone else's cast offs, in the middle of a parking lot mind you. Then I got to thinking about it.. do you think you could decorate most of your house with items from the flea markets... I know of course you probably do not want to buy things like a mattress there but could you decorate 90% of your house with things from the flea market? I think you could. It may take some time and a variety of flea markets but I think it could be done and done very nicely... Humm what do you think?

Mr. Brown's Patent etching

Here is another vintage piece.  This one reads "Mr. Brown's Patent".  The drawing on this piece is a bit lighter but very nice and very detailed...  They make a great pair..  Find this one on our Etsy site also.

Vintage Scientific magazine etching...

This is a great piece from I believe around 1750. It is a single sheet from a scientific magazine of the day. The graphics are really nice and pronounced. A wonderful piece for the office or the home... love this! I just posted this on Etsy..

Vintage updates... Long Beach Flea Market Vintage bridge print

So I know it has been close to a month since my visit to Long Beach and my post about all of the fantabluous things I found..  Here is a little update though.  A few things are still in progress but here is one finished piece...



I picked this piece up (along with a few others) last month for myself and I am so happy with the way that it came out.  I have a thing for vintage drawings, documents and etchings.  I don't know exactly where this baby will be going but I will keep you posted!

Blog hopping...My Notting Hill and Vintage Printable

Blog hopping is always my favorite activity and this week is no different... I was on one of my favorite blogs My Notting Hill (check out her post on the renovated church too!) and she did a really great post about a site called Vintage Printable. Amazing if you love vintage documents, letters and artwork you will be hooked! They offer a huge variety of images for free. Vintage pieces make a space so unique and now you have so many all in one place.
