Capturing Couture Designer Camera Straps

This year my husband gave me a new camera for Christmas- I have had my old digital SLR for about 7 years so I am so excited to have a new model with something like a million mega pixels!! So for my new baby I had to get some goods. I bought myself the little pretty in the first photo- a new strap- I love it! So I wanted to tell you all about it. These little beauties are made by Capturing Couture and they have all kinds of great designs including wrist straps and manly camera straps. Check out their website here. Green Design: Vintage suitcases and luggage

Design is my major passion so as I was sitting here I was wondering - would you want to know what I think about Green Design...? Humm. Well I don't know if you really want to know, but I am going to share a few things with you once in a while when the mood strikes, so here you go..

Vintage pieces are always a wonderful way to give your home personality, style and a sense of history. I read the other day somewhere that each room in a well designed home should have at least one antique or vintage piece in it- So true. Here a few fun ideas for vintage luggage. They make a great display when stacked and are a simple eco friendly design choice for a side table. If you are short on space they double as storage. I have a few in my office that I use to store samples.

The great thing is you can find them everywhere- flea markets, ebay, etsy and at antique shops.

This past weekend while selling the The Irvine Antique Market I was lucky enough to meet Blair she is the owner of Joie de Vie Jewelry. I happened to comment on her necklace and ask her where she got it - well she made it herself... Needless to say I need to have Blair as my New Best Friend because she makes the prettiest goodies!! Anthropologie makes recycled window displays for Spring with your help

What a fun concept. Anthropologie is asking for your donations of plastic bottles to help with their window displays for Spring. Anthropologie is so very forward thinking and unique!! Here is the info from their facebook page- They are collecting at all of their store locations (see the bottom)!!

"Calling all customers of our new Chicago, D.C. and upstate NY stores: want to help us create our spring windows? Simply drop off used plastic water bottles of all shapes and sizes at the locations and times listed below. And don’t forget to return to your store in forthcoming days to see your castoffs repurposed into larger-than-life sprays of flowers!"
