So loving this!

Is this not the cutest thing ever?

I am totally falling for this sweet little paper bowl with gold leaf from up in the air somewhere.  It is perfect for holding rings, or a little collection of things.

Do I have to start thinking Christmas already??

The art of display via Dan Marty Designs

What a great display from Dan Marty of my all time favorite dishes from Astier de Villatte.  Two of my favorites all in one place!

Are you getting ready for the holiday and a lovely Turkey dinner??

I am signing off for the day to try and get prepared!!

Setting the table.. a short series of posts.. Obsess much

So I am a little obsessed with Ceramics and dishes in general. They make me weak in the knees! I love the shapes of handmade pieces more than anything! So this morning I woke up early (cat meowing in my ear) and started thinking about dishes- I know weird huh! Well I had been thinking, you see my daughter who is in Kindergarten made this little pumpkin by hand, and why could I not do the same, I mean with dishes. So I am thinking of taking a ceramics class to see if I like it. I would love to hear if anyone has taken one and what they think of it??

Here are a few of my absolute favorite ceramics to dream about...

Mud Studio Handmade Ceramics

One of my favorite things of all time next to glassware is Ceramics and dishes. I am sure that I will never get enough of them. I love handmade pieces that show the beautiful imperfections of human touch. Mud Studio is no exception. Mud makes their beautiful pieces each by hand in South Africa. I have a few special pieces that I picked up in Anthropologie but I would love to add to my collection!!

They make more than I could have ever imagined!! Just amazing pieces perfect for any home casual or formal.

The chandelier is made of handmade clay balls - just beautiful!

Rae Dunn on Etsy and elsewhere..

So I have loved ceramics made by Rae Dunn for a long time- but I have just found out that she sells original hand made pieces on Etsy. Umm- where have I been?? I have a few of her little mugs that say "inspire" and "create" that we use for the kids hot cocoa and the dogs food bowls are from her line but they are not from her hand made collection, they are from her collaboration with Magenta. Now I desperately need an item from her Etsy shop!! Check out some of her pieces below and be sure to visit her blog and her website too! So very inspiring I love hand made ceramic dishes and objects!

Blog hopping...

You know what I really love about this whole blog thing. Everyday (and I mean everyday I sit at my computer for hours) I find something new to inspire me and make me smile. Here is a little bit of where my blog hopping took me this week. Pretty amazing sometimes I cannot figure out where I found something- maybe I am clicking too much!!!

This beautiful still life piece just - ohh - I could just stare at it.... I first saw it this week on one of my new favorite blogs Automatism she has the best photos!! (Maybe that is what I like about blogs almost everything comes with pictures- I am terribly visual!) But then when I was looking at another blog my mama's table (which I found through Sunday Suppers) I saw it again and followed that link to the photographer's site (Umm hello!!!) Roland Bello- I think I am in love!! By the way see how easy it is to become click crazy!!! Anyway here are some of my favorite photos from this weeks click happiness...

The two bowl photos are from Gleena- and I have to say I am in love with all of their stuff- just amazing hand made ceramic pieces- makes me wish that I could fly out to Brooklyn to visit them at the Brooklyn Flea- which seems like it would be right up my alley!!

Photos from Roland Bello Photography and my mama's table blog.

Here's to more inspiring blog clicking this weekend I am sure!!
